Sick as Hell

I feel like shit. Had a fairly high fever last night. Called out sick today. I did sleep some, but I get bored laying in a bed awake. Computer is fairly low on the energy needed level for doing.

I went and ordered two fairly expensive figures both for January. Maybe I'll get money for Christmas and my birthday that way I can afford these. ^_^

I was looking at HLJ BlackFriday sale items and well, I found shit to buy.
I'm trying to decide if I will enjoy the Kotetsu chibi-arts action fig or the Taiga Resin Kit. I sort of what to do a garage kit, but I also LOVE Kotetsu.

I think I broke my Toe

Well, about my toe.. I stumbled into a wall in my apartment, sort of hurt like normal and then left the house. It didn't stop hurting. Got home to find a black and blue toe. Just one though and it's my bloody middle toe. How does that even happen? I hit the friggan wall with my whole damn foot, how does only one toe get fucked up?

A bit of Anime Watching was Done

Okay, so I went and watch the first episode of some of the anime that was interesting to me (and that I could find) when we did that whole watch the opening thing last Thursday.

Now, I can say that we must watch Space Brothers and Tsuritama. They are both amazing in their own way. (Yes, I only watched one episode.)

I also watched Bodacious Space Pirates, but I'm not sure if I like it enough to watch more of it.
And Phi Brain, which is actually more than sort of interesting. It's a 'have to watch more to see if I like it' sort of anime.


In other news, I downloaded the Crows Zero movies, but the first one is in avi (the quality sucks) and I didn't check the format of the second movie yet. Was too tired last night.

I Love Manga

I haven't posted anything for quite a few days.
I've been reading manga.
First I was reading Worst by Takahashi Hiroshi, but then decide to read Crows by same mangaka because the stories are actually in the same universe/place. Crows happens 2 years before Worst in the same city. So, as I got close to the current chapters of Crows I was all, "I've seen these characters in Worst!!" It was amazing! (Yes, these sorts of things are awesome to me.) Of course the characters looked alittle different/young. How can two years make so much of a difference!!

Anyways, what is CrowsXWorst about? Delinquents. ^_^
That's it. A bunch of the ugliest dudes you can ever find fighting for control of their high school. There are quite a few high schools in the area and, of course, they fight among each other.

WHY DOES LYSSA LIKE THIS??!??
You obviously haven't been introduced to my characters Jarren, Simon, and Gorifa (Scott) have you. I have this thing for punks and ugly characters.
The fights are also really bloody. This manga artist didn't go skimpy of the fact that these guys are beating the shit out of each other.
The characters are great if not a bit too epic for their own good. I could list them and give reasons, but it may spoil the discover of their personalities for yourself.

So, ya. reading.
I got up to current with Crows. I got to chapter 44 of Worst before starting Crows, but I'm going back to the beginning to catch all those things I missed.
Gah! Worst is 116 chapters long. ^v^

One Piece Super Effect Action Pose #1: B Trafalgar Law

I'm sure you know by now that I'm gathering Trafalgar Law figures (that I like), well, this is one of the newer one to be released. There was no pre-order for it, it was just In Stock one day. I quickly ordered it. I was fairly cheap (1108JPY) so I wasn't worried about my current money issues with this one.

I'm actually really happy with it. His face looks sort of blah, but with this pose you can't really see his face. You'd have to hold him up to look at it or take a upshot photo. I really like the pose. I'm sort of sick of the pose he always gets (see most other Trafalgar Laws on MFC). The paint is probably what I don't like the most, then again I have many trading figures with much worst paint jobs. For his cost the figure looks about it's worth. So to say, if he cost me $40 I'd except a whole lot more for it and would not be happy, but he cost me about $17, so all is good.

Cancellations and Postponment

Well, I officially cancelled my HLJ order for this month because of my car. The battery is completely dead even though I just got it replaced in December. I'm guessing it was a used battery. Anyways, I have a feeling the alternator is also shot.
(Correction: My bad alternator killing my battery.) This all will probably cost me $800. They have to remove my engine to get to the alternator (I guess).

Okay, well, it looks like I'm not spending money on figures for awhile. Why? Because my car just stopped on my way home from work today. I knew my battery was going wonky, but my car just shut itself off. So, it's probably the altinator. Good Bye Money. I still have work tomorrow too. *la sigh*

Mother's Day came and passed. I was at work.
The day before Mother's Day was worse than the holiday for me because I was at work.
I ordered more stuff. When will I stop this? I don't earn enough money!
The Jigen TV Part 1 big guy I've been drooling over is being re-released.
The price is much better that the price I was gonna pay at Plamoya. $150 plus $20 shipping? No thanks.
Did that via AmiAmi which has better prices than HLJ.
Also, I'm chin deep into Crows x WORST. So obviously I went and ordered a figure of one of the characters.
It's back ordered, so there is a chance they can't get it. I'd be sad, but not heartbroken.
I'm thinking about selling the figure I don't display anymore and all those extra female characters. (I'm looking at you Yuna and Fugiko!)

My vacation was awesome and TONS more fun than I expected. I think I want to move to Chattanooga, Tennessee. It's full of mountain, river and valley and, while it does get HOT (100 degrees anyone?) it doesn't get humid. The downtown city is VERY art-tastic. Full of history from Cherokee Indians to the Civil War. *doki doki*

I'd say that the only problem with the Chattanooga area is that it is very country. The people, the talking, the music and well, the better side of country, the attitude. The people there are not afraid of the people around them. We got in many conversations with just random people. It was odd and nice at the same time.

Behind the times...

I know I'm abit behind, but the Bakuman manga ended! I... I.. I'm so happy and so sad at the same time. I knew the manga's manga was ending, but I wasn't expecting the actually manga to end too. *mindblown* It was so sweet and moving and I think I cried alittle.

I just now got to reading the stack of manga that has been waiting for me. I know Bleach is coming close to it's end too. The creator called this the last arc. Thank Goodness. Bleach is abit too drawn out.
I never want One Piece to end. EVER!! *beware of super fans*

I still have some SoulEater and FairyTail to read, but for the most part I got my top 3 done. (Bleach, One Piece, and Reborn)
I want to get back into reading Slam Dunk. That was a good manga.

So Questions Answered

So I got in contact with AnimeIsland about my order (Van of GunXSword) and they replied back.
Apparently the one they had in stock was damaged and they needed to order a new one to send me.
That is friggan awesome! I mean they have enough sense of things that they didn't send me the damaged one and though they failed to send me an email to inform me of this delay, I still feel that they did an excellent job at taking care of me. They should have it by Thursday or Friday. That means I'll have it by Sunday or Monday. Joy!

I ordered some things from a different site. (really?) Yes really.
It's called AnimeSekai. Why am I talking about it? Because they sell trading figures as singles. (really?) Yes! Really! I mean I can totally stop wasting my money on female characters I could careless about. (Because you love every male character in existence?) Sort of. Wait... no. Well, um, every male character in One Piece. ^_^
Okay, so moving on, those things should be here soon since their response time from my order was unbelievable. They had it shipping 4 hours after I paid for it. *0_0*

Parents planned (some time ago) a family roadtrip on April 27-30. This is the weekend of Thor-IronMan-Captain movie night. *weeps* I was looking forward to watching those movies with all of you. The good news is that I will be back in time to see The Avengers on Thursday night/Friday morning, obviously. Plus, I've already seen all of the movie night movies anyways.

I'll be off at Rock City (a roadside attraction near Chattanooga, Tennessee).

I don't quite know why I'm still hovering about this one. I might be that $30 is too much be spending on a character that I like alot more as an adult than as a child. Of course, I do like his hat and his grumpy face. (I can get that with the adult figure too.)

Eternal Calendar (New World) Sanji
I like that it is Sanji. I don't like... the steps. (I know odd.) Though I sort of prefer the steps to the other designs for these things that I have seen. This might be the one I actually end up ordering. (Who knows?) And OMG! Sanji figure of him doing something else other than just standing there. Most movement he gets are in trading figures. -_-

People! Lupin the 3rd is Awesome!

Okay, so DVD's of Lupin the 3rd (Part 2:Red Coat) arrived today. So, of course, I start watching it. I then realize that I've seen the first episode... a few times. I watched it in English and Japanese. I.. I like both voice tracks. I kept it on English because I was multitasking while it was on. No, I can't just sit and watch something.

The only problem is that I got Disc 1,2,3,4,6,7,and 8. Notice a missing number? Yes. Five is missing. RightStuf doesn't have it. Actually, no where has it. These are all Geneon/Pioneer releases and well, those companies are dead. There is also a lack of Disc 11 on the internet. Sadness.
So, next is 9-15 (minus 11) and Discotek release of Part 1(Green Coat). That is definitely on my want list.
I sort of wonder if Part 3(Pink Coat) will ever make it's way to the US. Jigen has such odd colors for his shirt in those.

New Arrivals

Okay, so I ordered stuff from three different places and of course, HLJ arrives first. I don;t know much about SAL shipping, but I was sort of hoping that my Mami figma and/or Van of GunXSword would have arrived by now. Actually Val should have been first since it is coming from within the USA.
*goes to research*
Well, Van at AnimeIsland is "Awaiting Fulfillment". According to my order information. So I'm guessing it is backordered or something. So when it's ready to ship they'll probably send me an email.

AmiAmi is shipped, but SAL will probably take 2 weeks to get here. So no worries there.

And well, HLJ is here. ^_^

Inside was:
**Green-Coat Lupin the Third. He is about 3 1/2 inches tall and painted really well for being so small. There was a bigger version of this figure, but I only have the money for the mini version. I'm still really happy with it.

**Revoltech Iron Man Mark 6. For being a poseable figure he isn't as flexable as I had hoped. Something just feels off about how it moves. *confusing* Anyways, I love having Iron Man too.

Right now I'm just waiting for stuff.
I might order more from HLJ, or next time I do AmiAmi I get tracking for my purchase. Blah.

Okay. Despite knowing that painting the darn thing would be easier if left in the darn plastic mold grid, I went ahead and put it together.

I put Kyubey(Madoka figma pal) on there so you know how big it is.
I put the logo stickers on because I know that no matter how I would have tried, I could never draw a circle that perfectly. So thus, stickers.

It wouldn't be a proper photo shoot(thing) without "Za Beast".
